Parched: Stories about Water, Pollution and Theft

directed by Katrina Dion

After conducting 100 interviews, Free Street’s youth ensemble, under the direction of Katrina Dion, created “Parched.” Using poetry, dance, personal narrative and pop culture references, this play exposes injustices, while reflecting on the beauty and power of water. The play poses the questions, “When did water become a privilege?” and “Is Chicago the next Flint?”
